Implement Custom Block as Component

I was wondering if there was any interest in implementing a Custom Block as a React component (either Component or function). Seems like this would make the code much more compact, instead of a copy of the entire block in each screen in which it is used. It would also make it much easier to implement other functionality like an accordion style presentation. For instance, you could create an accordion button and place the custom block under it in a subordinate position. The button would control a state variable (which they seem to already do) and the custom block would be wrapped in a conditional:

{ buttonStateVar ? <CustomBlock theme={theme} /> : <View /> }

Hi Paul,

This is a cool idea! I can add this to our roadmap and subscribe you to the feature if you’d like – let me know!
